John Chabalko Candidate Statement

Our family chose Orinda because we believe in public education and this remarkable community that supports it. Through volunteering in our children's schools and currently serving as Co-President of the Wagner Ranch Parents' Club, I've seen firsthand what families, teachers, staff, and volunteers can accomplish when we work together.

I'm running for the school board because I believe thoughtful, long-term leadership is essential to preserving what makes Orinda's schools exceptional.

My professional career leading large organizations taught me the importance of strategic planning, responsible financial stewardship, and making decisions with transparency and integrity. Those principles will guide my decisions as a board member.

As a board member, I'll focus on putting students first, strengthening communication and partnership with families, supporting our educators, and making long-term decisions that preserve the excellence of Orinda's schools for future generations.

Our district's greatest strength is the partnership between our schools and our community. My goal is to build on that foundation through thoughtful leadership, open communication, and a commitment to the families and students we serve.
